Okay so this week was pretty weird. It started out kind of slow, then got slower but just the last few days have been awesome!
Tuesday was your normal district meeting day. I dont know if I mentioned this earlier but the Adelanto north area is were Elder Jennings served early last year so he told me to go see this less active. We finally found out where he lived and visited him on tuesday, it was a good lesson. THen he told us he wanted to play some songs for us on his guitar. THinking it would be a few minutes we accepted the offer. About 45 minutes later we finally got out, haha, yea. His songs are all about the gospel somehow, which is nice, but they are kind of... eccentric
Wednesday we got a few lessons in here and there. pretty basic day. I wasnt feeling to well going into dinner and by the time we got home I was pretty sick (it had nothing to do witht he food, it was super good!) but we had exchanges the next day so I sucked it up.
Thursday we had exchanges withthe spanish elders. I went into Elder Selph's area. Pretty much all day I felt pretty gross, but it didnt matter because I cant speak spanish haha.
Friday, we sort of took a sick day. I was all sorts of hurting and so forth.
Saturday I was feeling a lot better so we went out to Apple Valley #wedonthaveboundaries to see a Samoan potential who wasnt home :(
But the ward was having an activity in AV so we swung by and talked with some less actives. We headed back towards Victorville/Adelanto area and weekly planned. We biked around in the evening to save miles and everyone we were seeing lived close by. It was super weird, first time riding the bike on the mission. But yea, that was about it.
Sunday there was a homecoming talk in each ward. Im not biased or anything but Samoan was way better. The missionary who came home to the Samoan ward came out with us the day he was set apart. Also he was in the Jacksonville FLorida mission, although he didn't know my homie Steveoooooo.
That was my week. Hopefully yours went well.
Elder Ockey
